The four stages of a booking
- New — the booking is confirmed and paid for, but the parcel hasn't yet been physically handed over at the station.
- Accepted — station staff have received and accepted the parcel for loading.
- In Transit — the parcel has been loaded and is travelling on the booked train.
- Delivered — the parcel has been handed to the consignee at the destination station.
Each stage updates as the lease holder's station staff process the parcel through the journey — there's no need to call anyone to find out where things stand.
What you need to track a booking
Just the booking number generated when the booking was confirmed (for example, in the format QUIC-2026-08-00007). On QuickParcel, this also comes with your original booking slip and confirmation, so it's worth keeping that reference handy for exactly this purpose.
Reading the timeline
Alongside the four-stage stepper, a full tracking view typically shows a timestamp for each stage the parcel has already reached, plus the route between origin and destination stations. A step with no timestamp yet simply hasn't happened — this is normal for a booking that's still New or freshly Accepted.
If a status hasn't moved in a while
Status updates depend on station staff logging each stage as it happens, so a booking can occasionally sit at one stage longer than expected around a busy station or a delayed train. If a booking looks stuck well past its expected schedule, that's the right moment to reach out to support with the booking number in hand.
